Default Courtyard Resurection?

Ok, I went IWAY last night, and after 4 wins we entered a map called 'Courtyard', we had to capture an altar. There were two other teams who first attacked eachother, so for us it was kind of easy to kill most of them when we went in.

Now, the problem is that when there was one of their team left, all the team was rezzed. They didn't have priest or hero anymore, and they too were rezzed. How did they do this?

btw; they were rezzed on the altar itself.

you kind of answered your own question :

when a team holds the altar, the altar itself becomes that team's res point, ressing everything (including killed priest) every 2 minutes as long as that team controls the altar when the countdown hits a "res time"

thx, I guess their hero wasn't dead then.

Do they also get rezzed when no-one but their Hero is alive?

they get ressed as long as they hold that altar, even after the hero dies, a team still holds the altar untill another hero claims it
